The Northfield Nordmarka Sons of Norway Lodge presents:

Professor Lori Lahlum, Minnesota State University at Mankato will be the speaker.

Professor Lahlum’s recent research is on American-born women who lost their citizenship when they married foreign nationals. She is looking at Norwegian American women who became stateless. They lost their right to vote in school and library elections in MN and they lost their right to vote in all elections in 1920 unless they became citizens.

Come and hear about this fascinating and little-known topic of American political history! (Especially interesting in this election year!)
