Nordic Midsummer Fest Press Release
Nordic Midsummer Fest will be held on Saturday, June 1, at Buck Hill in Burnsville, MN from 11 am to 6 pm. Our Headlining Musical Entertainment will be fABBAulous—an ABBA Tribute Band. There will be a full day of entertainment consisting of the Kari Tauring playing her hand-made flutes, Ginny Blood playing Nordic songs on her recorder and a Nordic Comedian–Chad Filley. The Viking Age Group will also be giving us a show! The event will be filled with Nordic Authors and Vendors offering their Scandinavian wares for you to browse through. Looking to learn something new? There will be Nordic Woodcarving, Rosemaling, Forging, Viking Cooking and Lefse making demos. This is a family friendly event featuring the Frozen North tent area for children with a visit from the Nordic Frozen Queen and a photo stop with Hiccup and Night Fury from the ‘How to Train your Dragon’ movie. What would a Nordic event be without Nordic Foods and Brews? Not to worry because you will find them at our event. This event is open to the public with a $10 entry fee for adults. Parking is free.
