Based in beautiful Lapland, a northern territory including Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia, this awe-inspiring film was released in 2019. Viewers follow the life of a young reindeer named Ailo as he ventures far and wide across natural landscapes, accompanied by his protective mother. Enjoy witnessing the changing of the seasons and all kinds of animals in the natural environment with this family-friendly and cinematic film.

All at Sea
Formerly titled “Wild Blue Yonder” after a 1990s play, this light-hearted comedy takes place in Norway. After filming in 2007, it was shared at the Norwegian Film Festival in 2010. The storyline centers around a man who tries to honor his closest friend who has passed away, encountering comedic situations along the way.

Once Aurora
Music lovers and fans of singer Aurora will enjoy this documentary profiling the young musician. With a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the life of the talented Norwegian star, who launched into the spotlight at just 16 years old, the film details two years of touring internationally. Along the way, Aurora encounters personal challenges and continues to create music that’s true to herself, showing strength and she learns and grows over the course of the film.

iHuman
Released in 2019, this forward-thinking documentary sheds light on artificial intelligence and the many complex effects that go along with it, raising questions to consider as technology moves forward. Created by Tonje Hessen Schei, an innovative Norwegian filmmaker, “iHuman” uses an artificial intelligence character that advances over time to demonstrate its remarkable capabilities.

Kon-Tiki
Inspired by explorer Thor Heyerdahl’s 1947 venture out to sea, this 2012 Norwegian film brings the story of adventure to life. Over the course of the movie, six Scandinavian adventurers set out to sail from Peru on a raft, over nearly 4,000 miles of water under harrowing conditions.
